Applicable scope

Screw flanges are mainly used in low-pressure and small diameter pipeline systems, generally at 150 pounds per inch ² the following pressure levels. They are usually suitable for conveying systems of liquids and gases, but in high-pressure and high-temperature environments, welded flanges or flange connections are usually used.

Advantages:

1. Easy installation: The installation of threaded flanges is relatively simple, without the need for welding or the use of bolts and nuts, so pipeline connections can be completed more quickly. This is an advantage for some application scenarios that require quick installation and disassembly.
2. Suitable for small diameter and low-pressure systems: threaded flanges are usually used in small diameter and low-pressure pipeline systems because they can provide sufficient sealing and connection strength under these conditions.
3. No need for professional equipment: Compared to some other connection methods (such as welding), threaded flange connections do not require professional welding equipment, which reduces installation and maintenance costs.
4. Suitable for non-metallic pipelines: Screw flanges are not only suitable for metallic pipelines, but can also be used for some non-metallic pipelines, such as PVC (polyvinyl chloride) or CPVC (chlorinated polyvinyl chloride) pipelines.
5. Applicability in some important scenarios: In some light industry and household water pipelines, as well as some low pressure and low temperature application scenarios, threaded flanges can provide sufficient performance while also having the advantage of affordability.

Notes:

Screw flanges are still widely used in some industrial applications, but in some high demand environments, due to the limitations of their connection methods, other types of flange connections may be chosen, such as welded flanges or flange bolt connections, to ensure higher sealing and pressure resistance.
Overall, threaded flanges are a simple and easy-to-use pipeline connection method, suitable for some low-pressure and small diameter application scenarios.
