Product Introduction

Blind flange, also known as blank flange, is a type of flange without a hole in the middle, which is a solid disk that can be used to seal pipeline openings.

The function of the blind flange is the same as that of the gland and pipe cap, but the difference is that the blind flange seal is a detachable sealing device, and the seal of the head is not prepared to be opened again. On the one hand, blind flanges are more flexible in operation.

There are many types of sealing surfaces for blind flanges, including FF,RF,MFM,FM,TG,G,RTJ

In terms of materials, blind flanges actually include carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel, copper, aluminum, PVC, and PPR. Carbon steel and stainless steel have the highest usage rate among them.

Advantages and Disadvantages

Advantages
1. High strength: Carbon steel blind plate flanges have high strength and can withstand certain pressures and loads.
2. Good corrosion resistance: Carbon steel blind flanges have good corrosion resistance and can resist corrosion to a certain extent.
3. Low cost: Compared with other materials, the manufacturing cost of carbon steel blind plates is relatively low, making them suitable for situations with high economic requirements.
4. Easy to process: Carbon steel blind plates have good machinability and are easy to perform various processing and welding operations.

Disadvantages
1. Not suitable for high-temperature and high-pressure conditions: Carbon steel blind plates are prone to deformation and fracture under high-temperature and high-pressure conditions.
2. Limited corrosion resistance: When in contact with some special corrosive media, the corrosion resistance of carbon steel blind plates may be insufficient.
3. Large weight: Carbon steel blind plates are relatively heavy, and the installation and disassembly process is relatively cumbersome.
4. Not suitable for some special working conditions: Carbon steel blind plates may not be suitable for some special working conditions, such as being prone to oxidation reactions at high temperatures.
