The main materials of rubber expansion joint are: silica gel, nitrile rubber, neoprene, EPDM rubber, natural rubber, fluoro rubber and other rubber.
Physical properties are characterized by resistance to oil, acid, alkali, abrasion, high and low temperatures.
1. Natural rubber
Synthetic rubber joints have high elasticity, high elongation strength, good wear resistance and drought resistance, and can be used at temperatures ranging from -60 ℃ to+80 ℃. The medium can be water and gas.
2. Butyl rubber
Wear-resistant rubber joints are used in dust pipelines and sand systems. The wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant rubber joint is a professional rubber joint specially designed for desulfurization systems. It has good wear resistance, acid and alkali resistance, corrosion resistance, and can effectively compensate for the axial expansion, radial expansion, angular displacement and other functions of desulfurization pipelines.
3. Chloroprene rubber (CR)
Seawater resistant rubber joint, which has excellent oxygen and ozone resistance, therefore its aging resistance is particularly good. Operating temperature range: approximately -45 ℃ to+100 ℃, with seawater as the main medium.
4. Nitrile rubber (NBR)
Oil resistant rubber joint. The characteristic is good resistance to gas oline. Operating temperature range: approximately -30 ℃ to+100 ℃. The corresponding product is: oil resistant rubber joint, with sewage as the medium.
5. Ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM)
Acid and alkali resistant rubber joints are commonly used, characterized by acid and alkali resistance, with a temperature range of about -30 ℃ to+150 ℃. Corresponding product: acid and alkali resistant rubber joint, medium is sewage.
Fluorine rubber (FPM) high-temperature resistant rubber joint rubber is an agricultural production system elastomer formed by copolymerization of fluorine containing monomers. Its characteristic is high temperature resistance up to 300 ℃.
In addition to those mentioned above, there are some familiar nouns: 310 Heat Expansion Joint, Sleeve Expansion Joint
Classification and performance characteristics
In terms of usage, there are three types of EPDM rubber (mainly required for water resistance, water vapor resistance, and aging resistance), natural rubber (mainly used for rubber that only requires elasticity), butyl rubber (rubber that requires good sealing performance), nitrile rubber (rubber that requires oil resistance), and silicone (food grade rubber);
Sealing rubber is widely used in industries such as antistatic, flame retardant, electronics, chemical, pharmaceutical, and food.
The materials of rubber joints are divided into various types based on the medium used, such as chloroprene rubber, butyl rubber, fluoro rubber, EPDM rubber and natural rubber. Flexible rubber joints are widely used in various pipeline connections, with performance characteristics of shock absorption, noise reduction, and displacement compensation.
The function of rubber joints varies depending on the material used. Performance differentiation also includes special fluororubber and silicone rubber, which have wear resistance, pressure resistance, and high temperature resistance. It has oil resistance, acid and alkali resistance, cold and heat resistance, aging resistance, etc. In terms of customization, rubber can be made into various types of rubber expansion joint.
